Computer science is the General name for the totality of the disciplines related to computers (the use of information processing and construction) includes the theoretical and practical aspects of various fields of knowledge: mathematics, computer science, artificial intelligence, electronics and others.
Computer science (or Computer technology) — a set of theoretical and practical knowledge, which use in their work the specialists in computing, programming, information systems and technologies. As a scientific discipline computer science emerged in the mid 30-ies of XX century in the merger of the theory of algorithms and mathematical logic and the invention of electronic computing machines (computers). The first publication in the field of computer science is considered to be published in 1936 the famous article by Alan Turing "On Computable Numbers, with an Application to the Entscheidungsproblem", which introduced the concept of Turing machine.
As a computer science brings together a group of disciplines concerned with the study of various aspects of the properties of information, information processes, and the application of algorithmic, mathematical and software tools for its processing by computers. Currently, a number of the most developed countries of the world characterized by the transition to a new type of society – information. Therefore, before the economic theory was the challenge to explore new economic categories, such as information, information resources, information market, information infrastructure. From the point of view of economic science, the information may be in the form of a document, software product, technology, scientific knowledge, intuitive, sensory knowledge, are almost impossible to formalize, in the form of specific institutions of a market economy - prices, interest rates, stock prices, etc. Information is characterized by such features as: representativeness, consistency, sufficiency, accessibility, relevance, timeliness, accuracy, reliability, stability.
The word information was derived from the inform, i.e., to supply any information. So many economists to information resources include information technology. Information technology is a process that uses a set of tools and methods of gathering, processing and transmission of data (primary information) to receive information of new quality about the state of an object, process or phenomenon. Rapidly increasing production of personal computers, servers, endpoints, communication equipment.
The computer sciences resources in a broad sense is a set of tools and data organized for efficient production of reliable information. Therefore, some authors refer to information resources personnel dealing with information. In Europe, the USA, Japan, in the early 90-ies employed more than 70% of the population in the service sector, including information and communication components. In modern conditions the complex of the productive capacities and needs of man, characteristic of the post-industrial stage of society's development and functioning in the form of intellectual human capital, transformered and gradually transformed into complex information needs and abilities of predominantly information economy and functioning in the form of human information resources. Intelligent human resources to provide high dynamic and high quality social and economic progress of society. The living human person becomes a carrier of human capital and human information resources.
